As a regular film viewer with a Cineworld Unlimited pass, I can safely say that if you watch more than a couple of films a month, a cinema membership scheme potentially offers fantastic value.
That said, you do have to factor in a few things outside your control. Most of us are limited to a particular local cinema and don’t have much of a choice. On top of that, pricing often depends on location groupings depending on the individual cinema site. Cineworld, for instance, splits its locations into groups 1 to 4 to determine price bands, with group 1 being the cheapest. You can still visit cinemas outside your group tier, but if they are in a higher group than your membership, you’ll need to pay an uplift charge.
This post is a paper-based comparison of costs and benefits across the main UK cinema chains. Most schemes follow a similar template: a fixed monthly or annual fee alongside extra discounts on food and drinks.
If you have hands-on experience with any of these memberships, We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Please note
Any prices mentioned in this post were gained in July 2026 and should be used as an indication only. I have only shared monthly scheme costs but some cinema chains also offer annual passes.
I’ll let you choose which of the below best suits your needs. I can personally vouch for such schemes from my own experience.
Cineworld Unlimited
- Price: £12.99 – £22.99 / month (priced across 4 tier groups depending on location). Minimum commitment 3 months. Group 1 £12.99 a month, Group 2 £17.99, Group 3 £19.99 and Group 4 £22.99. Annual membership is also available. Group listings are found here: Unlimited Membership Groups
- Website: Unlimited Membership | Cineworld
- Benefits:
- Up to 5 advance bookings at a time.
- 10% off snacks and drinks and 25% off after 3 months membership.
- 10% off in-cinema Starbucks.
- Free 3D upgrades and free Superscreen access after 3 months.
- Access to exclusive advance preview screenings.
MB Thoughts: The first flat rate unlimited scheme (not counting the Virgin membership that they took over). Annual membership does not offer any additional discounts compared to monthly. However, if you are a new member, paying annual for the first time (instead of monthly) allows you to benefit immediately from the 25% off food and drinks.

Odeon myLimitless
- Price: depends on whether the cinema is classed as Luxe.
- Standard: £16.99 / month (excludes Luxe cinemas).
- Plus: £19.99 / month (includes ODEON Luxe, Recliners, 3D, and iSense).
- Limitless Plus is also available for Students at £15.99 (instead of £19.99)
- Annual membership possibilities also exist
- Website: https://www.odeon.co.uk/limitless/sign-up/
- Benefits:
- Unlimited films (minimum 3-month commitment when paying monthly).
- 10% off food and beverage purchases.
- Discounts on tickets for accompanying friends and family.
- Invites to Odeon’s “Screen Unseen” mystery previews.
MB Thoughts: Discounts on tickets for those with you is there unique angle. A free membership scheme also exists. This cinema does give a further discounted rate if you purchase membership annually.

Vue
No unlimited membership scheme. They operate other offers like free membership schemes collecting digital movie stamps via Club Vue. Every 10 stamps getting a free movie. They also work on promotions with Sky Cinema subscribers who get two free tickets a month.
MB Thoughts: when researching online, they are more into promotions/offers with other companies e.g Sky cinema subscribers get two free Vue tickets a month.

The Light Premiere Pass
- Price: £16.99 (may vary by some locations but difficult to verify as each cinema location has its own website).
- Website: no nationwide site. You have to check the dedicated location website.
- Benefits:
- Unlimited standard screenings.
- 10% to 20% discount on food, soft drinks, and hot beverages.
- Preview screenings and guest discount offers.
MB Thoughts: It was strange that they did not have a national website, so difficult to double check prices. Otherwise the offering appears in line with others.

Other Cinema Membership Schemes
A few more options exist if any of the following chains are near you. Some of these memberships are a little different from the National chains and cost more or instance of BFI – offer a discount off ticket purchases.
